Dobbytron Specifications

Models

There are two models available.

DTMA-16 handles up to 16 harnesses.

DTMA-32 handles up to 32 harnesses.

Note that the DTMA-32 handles looms with 16 or fewer harnesses as well as those with up to 32 harnesses. If you have a loom that can be handled by the DTMA-16, you might still want to consider purchasing the DTMA-32 in case you decide to add additional harnesses. The DTMA-16 cannot be upgraded to handle more than 16 harnesses, so if you think you might expand in the future, it makes sense to use the DTMA-32 from the start.

If you have a 24 harness loom, you will use the DTMA-32 model.

Input Power

100 to 240 Volts AC at 1 amp maximum, 50 to 60 hertz. Regional differences in electrical power are accomodated by changing the power cord shipped with the unit.

Unless otherwise specified, the Dobbytron is shipped with a "USA/Canada" power cord. Alternate power cords available at this time are "Europe" and "UK/Ireland".

Computer Connection

9 pin DB-9 serial connector. Only Signal Ground, Transmit Data, and Receive Data are needed. The connecting cable should be 'straight wired' (not 'null modem' or 'crossover', in other words).
